River excursion to Punucapa

Here we are in Punucapa! Having taken a trip down the river, navigating through the Santuario de la Naturaleza where the swans... used to be, we finally got to Punucapa, one of the most traditional towns around the Valdivia area. We visited the ancient church, ate some empanadas, tasted the local chicha, and even celebrated the birthday of our student Raul Cares (the guy with the black cap!)
It was one of the better excursions we've ever done!
